February 21 (SeeNews) - Assets managed by resident investment funds in Bulgaria totalled 1.04 billion levs ($560.6 million/532 million euro) at the end of 2016, up 31% year-on-year, central bank data showed on Tuesday.
Assets managed by non-resident investment funds rose by an annual 27.4% to 1.81 billion levs at end-December, according to data posted on the website of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB).
The assets of Bulgarian share-focused investment funds grew 39.8% last year, reaching 397.7 million levs, assets of mixed funds increased 32.6% to 204.9 million levs and those of bond-focused funds rose by 23.4% to 436.7 million levs.
As of end-December, bond funds held the largest share of 42% of the assets of resident investment funds, down from 44.5% a year earlier.
