March 15 (SeeNews) - Romanian carmaker Dacia, a unit of France's Renault, said on Tuesday that Yves Caracatzanis will be named director general of Dacia and Renault Romania as of April 4.
Maure is replacing Nicolas Maure, who will who decided to take the reins at Russian automobile manufacturer Avtovaz, the carmaker said in a statement.

Caracatzanis, born in 1964 in Marseille, earned an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale Paris. Since 2013, he has been senior vice president of production and supply chain for the Eurasia region.
Maure was director of the Dacia Powertrain Plant in Romania between 2006 and 2008. He then became vice president of Powertrain at Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organization and, in March 2013, was appointed senior vice president of Groupe Renault Manufacturing Performance. Since January 2014, he has been general manager of Groupe Renault Romania and CEO of Automobile Dacia.
Renault bought Romania's Automobile Dacia, an ailing state company at the time, in 1999.
In 2015 passenger car sales under the Dacia brand rose 7.8% to 511,510 vehicles, while sales of light commercial vehicles under the same brand jumped 7.2% to 39,401, Renault has said.
In Romania, Dacia is the market leader. Overall, the Renault group has a market share of 33% in the country, with sales up by 24.5% in 2015, to 36,946 units.
Dacia also topped the SeeNews ranking of the biggest companies in Southeast Europe by total revenue for 2014.
