April 11 (SeeNews) - The Romanian arm of German provider of solutions for windows, building and furniture and automotive REHAU Group said on Monday that it has started the construction of a 10 million euro ($11.92 million) regional hub in the central city of Sibiu.
The hub will help the company to serve the regional market and customers more easily, offering much faster high quality services, thanks to the proximity to European roads, REHAU Romania said in a press release.

The inauguration of the regional hub is scheduled for the first half of 2023. In March 2021, REHAU estimated that the facility would be completed in 2022.
REHAU products will be delivered from the Sibiu hub to the Eastern European countries near Romania such as Moldova, Bulgaria or Greece. Once it starts operating, more than 60 new jobs will be created.
The Window Solutions division will be the main beneficiary of the hub in Sibiu due to the wrapping line that will operate in the new facility.
"The expansion in Romania significantly increases local value creation. By producing locally for the region, we will be able to meet future regional customer expectations even better, for example with significantly greater individualisation of our products," REHAU Window Solutions CEO Carsten Heuer said.
REHAU has a history of 26 years in Romania and currently has 86 employees in the country. REHAU Romania had a turnover of 41 million euro in 2020.
The REHAU Group specializes in polymer-based solutions, with annual sales of approximately 4 billion euro.
