TIRANA (Albania), May 15 (SeeNews) – Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) said on Tuesday the after-tax profit of its Albanian unit rose to 12.3 million euro ($14.7 million) in the first quarter of 2018, from 9.99 million euro in the same period a year earlier.
Net interest income fell 5.8% year-on-year to 13.4 million euro, while net fee and commission income increased 6.2% to 3.7 million euro, RBI said in a presentation posted on its website.
Operating income fell 18% to 17.3 million euro.
RBI's NPL ratio in Albania decreased to 15.7% in the first quarter, from 22.7% in the prior-year period.
The group's total assets in Albania decreased 5.2% year-on-year to 1.85 billion euro in the first quarter.

The number of RBI business outlets decreased to 78 as at the end of March from 81 a year earlier.
According to RBI, Albania's GDP will rise 4% this year, compared with 3.8% growth in 2017.
