TIRANA (Albania), May 14 (SeeNews) – Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) said the after-tax profit of its Albanian unit fell to 6 million euro ($6.5 million) in the first quarter of 2020, from 7 million euro in the same period of last year.
Net interest income remained flat at 14 million euro, while net fee and commission income dropped 16% to 3 million euro, RBI said in an interim financial report.
Operating income increased by 22.4% year-on-year in the first quarter, reaching 25 million euro.
The ratio of non-performing loans (NPLs) of RBI in Albania decreased to 5.7% in the first quarter, from 6.1% in the comparable prior-year period.
RBI's total assets in Albania edged down 0.5% year-on-year to 1.8 billion euro in the first quarter.
The number of RBI business outlets in Albania remained unchanged on an annual comparison basis at 78 as of the end of March.
