ZAGREB (Croatia), August 9 (SeeNews) – Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) swung to a net profit of 36.7 million euro ($42.5 million) from operations in Croatia in the first half of 2018, from a loss of 2.9 million euro in the like period last year, it said on Thursday.
RBI generated an operating income of 104.2 million euro in Croatia in the first half of 2018, down 8.4% on the year, figures from RBI's first-half financial report showed.
Net fee and commission income fell by 2.6% to 33 million euro, while net interest income shrank 6.4% to 61.2 million euro, RBI said.
The lender's non-performing loan (NPL) ratio in Croatia was 12.5% at the end of June. The coverage of NPLs with provisions was 83%.
RBI's total assets in Croatia rose by 3.0% year-on-year to 4.6 billion euro at the end of June.

RBI's Croatian unit had 586,140 customers at end-June, up 10.8% year-on-year, and operated in 79 business outlets, up one on the year.
