August 9 (SeeNews) - Qatar Airways has said it will launch flights connecting Doha to Bosnia's capital Sarajevo on October 31.
The service will be operated four times a week by an Airbus A320 aircraft, featuring 12 seats in Business Class and 132 seats in Economy Class, Qatar Airways said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Adding Sarajevo to our global network will allow passengers in Bosnia-Herzegovina to connect to more than 150 destinations worldwide through our five-star hub, Hamad International Airport," the CEO of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, said in the statement.
The launch of the Doha-Sarajevo service is part of the airline’s expansion into Eastern Europe. Qatar Airways recently launched a four times-weekly service to Macedonia's Skopje, with the recent launch of four times-weekly service to Macedonia's Skopje as well as daily flights to Prague, Czech Republic and Kiev, Ukraine set to begin later this month.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Qatar Airways operates flights to Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
