January 5 (SeeNews) - French multinational advertising and public relations company Publicis Groupe said on Wednesday it will acquire Romanian software engineering firm Tremend Software Consulting.
The transaction is pending approval from the relevant anti-trust authorities, Publicis Groupe said in a press release.

The deal's value was not disclosed.
"Bringing Tremend into Publicis Sapient is a powerful expansion of our global distributed delivery model and we expect to rapidly grow headcount to 2,500 people by 2025 as well as our geographic footprint in the region," Publicis Sapient CEO Nigel Vaz, said.
Tremend will serve as the newest global delivery center for the group's Publicis Sapient solution hub.
"In a context of growing demand for digital business transformation, Publicis Groupe is scaling its expertise in Europe to better serve its clients and help them win in commerce. The addition of Tremend will expand Publicis Sapient’s agile engineering capabilities and diversify its geographic footprint,” Publicis Groupe chairman and CEO Arthur Sadoun said.
Tremend was founded in 2005 by Ioan Cocan and Marius Hanganu, and serves a large and diverse client base that includes companies such as Carrefour, ING and Orange. With over 16 years of experience in product engineering, Tremend employs over 650 software engineers.
Publicis Groupe is organized into four solutions hubs for easier connectivity and integration: Publicis Communications, Publicis Media, Publicis Sapient, and Publicis Health. Present in over 100 countries, Publicis Groupe employs around 85,000.
