SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), January 14 (SeeNews) – Bosnia’s ProCredit Bank said it signed a 20 million euro ($27.4 million) guarantee agreement with the European Investment Fund (EIF) to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME) in the Balkan country.
The agreement will allow ProCredit Bank to provide enhanced access to finance to local entrepreneurs for high-quality projects, the Sarajevo-based bank said in a statement on its website on Monday.
ProCredit Bank d.d. Sarajevo [SAJ:MEBSR] is a unit of international banking group ProCredit. It operates in the Muslim-Croat Federation, one of the two entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Serb Republic.
Luxembourg-based EIF is a financial institution of the European Union. Its central mission is to support Europe's micro, small and medium-sized businesses by helping them to access finance.
