PRISTINA (Kosovo), August 3 (SeeNews) – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Monday that the municipality of Pristina has opened a tender for the procurement of 30 low-entry diesel buses with an optional delivery of another 21 buses.
The requirements include tenderer's demonstration of an access to 8 million euro ($8.77 million), along with tenderer's experience in at least three contracts in the last five years as a supplier, each with a value of at least 7 million euro, the EBRD said in a statement.
Another requirement for the candidates is to present an average annual turnover over the last five years of 18 million euro.
The deadline for applications is September 17. The offers will be opened on the same day in the presence of tenderers’ representatives.
In February, the multi-lateral lender said the municipality plans to use the proceeds from an EBRD loan to finance the 12.25 million euro project.
The project aims to improve the urban public transport in Pristina by modernization of the bus fleet of Trafiku Urban, the public transport company owned by the municipality.
