October 3 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Power Distribution North, a unit of Czech power utility Energo-Pro, said on Thursday that it has signed three power meters supply deals worth a total of 1.45 million levs ($813,000/741,000 euro) with Plovdiv-based ADD Bulgaria.
All three contracts were signed on September 3, Power Distribution North said in a notice.
The contracts were awarded to ADD Bulgaria without an open public procurement procedure as ADD Bulgaria is the only distributor of Moldova's ADD Production, which produces the metering systems currently used by Power Distribution North.
Under the terms of the contracts ADD Bulgaria is responsible for the delivery of a total of 11,000 two-phase and three-phase power meters.
ADD Bulgaria focuses on the development and implementation of smart metering systems for electricity, water, gas and street lighting.
Power Distribution North operates power lines with a total length of some 42,000 km over a territory of nearly 30,000 sq m in northeastern Bulgaria.
