LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), November 18 (SeeNews) – Posta Slovenije has completed a transaction involving the purchase of 72.13% of all shares issued by Slovenian logistics group Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG], the group said on Monday.
The logistics group said in a statement it has been informed by Posta Slovenije that the buyer has acquired 10,657,965 of the issuer’s preference shares, accounting for 100% of its preference shares, and 9,168,425 ordinary shares, representing 54.53% of voting rights of Intereuropa.
The price of the deal was not disclosed.
“For Intereuropa it is important that its new majority owner gives it increased opportunities for further growth and development, which will lead to increased competitiveness,” the logistics group noted.
In May, Intereuropa said that a group of banks - SID Banka, Nova Ljubljanska Banka, Gorenjska Banka, Nova KBM, SKB Banka, and Banka Intesa Sanpaolo - has signed an agreement with Posta Slovenije for the sale of 72.13% of all shares of the logistics group.
In September, Slovenian competition protection agency AVK said it has given the green light to Posta Slovenije to buy Intereuropa.
Intereuropa's shares last traded on Wednesday on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange. They changed hands flat at 1.42 euro.
