PODGORICA (Montenegro), August 5 (SeeNews) – Montenegrin luxury yacht port and marina village Porto Montenegro will receive an investment of 500 million euro ($555.4 million) in the next 15 years, the senior PR manager of the complex, Danilo Kalezic, has said.
"We have to keep in mind that we are only building on one-quarter of what is supposed to be the 24 acres that once belonged to Arsenal. I believe that in the next 15 years, we can talk about an additional 500 million investments, this is difficult to predict because the site study is still being adopted," Serbian news agency Tanjug quoted Kalezic as saying on Friday.
Porto Montenegro, located at the former Arsenal naval shipyard in Tivat, currently offers 400 berths for yachts 12-180 m in length.
"We are currently completing two retail and residential buildings, the Bja Building, which is a continuation of the Regent Hotel and completes the Ridge Pool Club residence system. At the same time, we are completing a building called Elena, worth about 20 million euro, which will open this summer," Kalezic said in an interview for private TV channel Nova M.
According to the plan, the number of berths will be increased to 450, Kalezic said.
