PODGORICA (Montenegro), October 28 (SeeNews) – A consortium comprising Poland's POL-MOT, Alstom and Foster Wheeler has decided to file a final bid in a tender for the construction of a second unit at Montenegro's Pljevlja thermal power plant (TPP), local media reported.
The capacity of the new unit is planned at 220-300 megawatts (MW).
The Polish consortium has offered to build a unit with a 260 MW capacity, which will run on coal from local coal pit Maoce, news portal Vijesti (www.vijesti.me) said during the weekend, quoting POL-MOT president Andrzej Zarajczyk.
The financial terms of the Polish consortium's offer will be made public on October 31, the day that the deadline for filing the final bids expires, the news portal added.
The names of the companies that have placed final bids so far have not been disclosed but, according to unofficial information, a Chinese company is among them, Vijesti said.
Preliminary bids have been filed by Czech Republic’s Skoda Praha; a consortium comprising Poland's POL-MOT, Alstom and Foster Wheeler; a consortium of Slovak companies Istroenergo Group IEG Slovakia and SES Tlmace; China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC); China Gezouba Group International Engineering Company (CGGC); and Powerchina Hubei Electric Power Survey & Design Institute and China National Electric Engineering Co (CNEEC).
