May 29 (SeeNews) - Polish real estate investor and developer Globe Trade Centre (GTC) said on Monday it plans a hotel development project in the northern Croatian Adriatic region of Istria, having decided to enter the hospitality business segment.
“The management board of GTC hereby announces that it has decided to expand the previously announced and implemented strategy of the company, which strategy will now include investments and developments in real estate projects involving hospitality assets, in particular in the high-end segment of the market in Europe,” the company said in a press release.
GTC owns an attractively located development land plot of 126 hectares dedicated for high-end hospitality in Istria since 2006.
“Based on the current market trends, GTC initiated pre-development phase of the project, including design and search for a hotel operator,” it added.
GTC actively manages a commercial real estate portfolio of 43 commercial buildings providing some 740,000 square metres of lettable office and retail space in Poland, Hungary, Bucharest, Belgrade, Zagreb and Sofia, according to its website.
