July 22 (SeeNews) - Polish group Pol-Mot Holding is interested in building a factory for electric vehicles and nitrogen-fueled cars in Croatia, Croatian president Zoran Milanovic said.
The factory could create 700 to 1,000 jobs, Milanovic said in a statement on Tuesday, without revealing the financial parameters of the project.
The statement was issued after Milanovic met in Zagreb with the owner and head of Pol-Mot Holding, Andrej Zarajczyk, and senior officials of the group's subsidiaries Pol-Mot Rail and agriculture machines maker Ursus.
Milanovic welcomed the planned investment, noting that it will allow Pol-Mot to expand its presence in Croatia outside the tourism sector.
The local unit of the Polish holding - Pol-Mot d.o.o., owns the Lovran Hotel, located in Lovran, on the Istrian peninsula.
