May 29 (SeeNews) - Polish debt collection company Kruk said it has agreed to purchase a portfolio of secured and unsecured corporate debt with a total nominal value of 1.25 billion lei ($305.8 million/273.7 million euro) from Romanian blue-chip lender BRD Societe Generale [BSE:BRD].
The agreement was subject to a condition precedent that the debts covered by the agreement will be assigned to the buyer upon payment of the price, which was carried out on Thursday, Kruk said in a statement last week.

Kruk participates in the transaction through its subsidiary InvestCapital Malta, the company said.
On May 11, Kruk said that InvestCapital Malta was chosen in a tender as a purchaser of the portfolio.
Kruk is a Polish debt collection company, purchasing and servicing debt portfolios in seven markets, namely Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
