February 20 (SeeNews) - Croatian food, beverages and drug producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR-R-A] led the gainers among the blue chips on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Monday, bourse data showed.
Podravka's shares closed 5.34% higher at 417.53 kuna ($59.6/56.1 euro), as 4,144 shares changed hands.
Soft drinks producer and water bottler Jamnica [ZSE:JMNC-R-A] generated the highest trading turnover of 8.2 million kuna. The company's shares closed up 7.48% at 151,414.81 kuna.
Textile company Varteks [ZSE:VART-R-1] led the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 5.5% to 17.00 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover jumped to 30.2 million kuna on Monday from 13.1 million kuna on Friday.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the ZSE gained 1.38% to 2,222.97 points, after rising 0.56% on Friday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, jumped 1.27% to 1,281.05 points after increasing 0.82% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS index edged up 0.02% to 110.3354 points.
