March 10 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) edged lower on Friday on losses in index heavyweight Podravka, as turnover almost doubled, bourse data showed.
The 18-share CROBEX dipped 0.26% to end at 2,270.82 points. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten issuers in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, declined 0.25% to finish at 1,297.59 points.
Software developer SPAN [ZSE:SPAN] was the most traded company with a turnover of some 410,000 euro ($437,000) as its shares went down 0.41% to end at 49.10 euro. It is part of the wider index, but as of March 20 will be also a member of the narrower blue-chip index.
Hotel owner and operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] ranked second by turnover with 379,000 euro as its shares ended flat at 4.58 euro.
Shares of food and pharmaceuticals manufacturer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] lost 0.85% to end at 93.40 euro in a turnover of 138,400 euro.
The bourse's total trading turnover reached 3.1 million euro from1.6 million euro on Thursday.
