September 11 (SeeNews) - US-based pizza and fast-food delivery chain Pizza Hut Delivery (PHD) on Monday opened a new unit in Romania's capital Bucharest following a 200,000 euro ($240,219) investment.
The new unit in northeast Bucharest will employ 20 and is the company's 16th location in the country, PHD said in a press release.
"After the success of Pizza Hut Delivery Obor, this new location in Colentina neighbourhood becomes another milestone in our expansion plans," PHD's chief marketing officer, Monica Eftimie, said.
Pizza Hut Delivery entered the Romanian market in 2007. Alongside Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell, it is part of Sphera Franchise Group.
Sphera Franchise Group was created in June and is one of the biggest restaurant groups in Romania, with overall sales of over 130 million euro per year, 100 locations and over 4,000 employees.
In August, Sphera Franchise Group announced that US-based chain of fast-food restaurants Taco Bell will open its first unit in Romania this autumn.
