January 15 (SeeNews) - The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell on Wednesday, as fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] recorded the sharpest losses among Slovenia's blue-chip companies, bourse data showed.
Petrol's shares closed 1.04% lower at 382.0 euro.
Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] posted the biggest gains among the blue chips.
Cinkarna Celje’s shares closed 5.18% higher at 203.0 euro.
The blue-chip SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, ended Wednesday's session 0.05% lower at 973.79 points.
Pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated over half of LJSE's trading turnover on Wednesday – 606,750 euro. The bourse's total turnover fell to 1.19 million euro ($1.3 million) from 1.25 million euro on Tuesday.
