January 18 (SeeNews) - The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed Wednesday's trading session higher, compared with the previous trading day, as petroleum and fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] paced the blue-chip gainers, bourse data showed.
Petrol's shares advanced 2.75% and closed at 22.40 euro on Wednesday, LJSE data showed.
At the other end, Telekom Slovenije [LJE:TLSG] lead the blue-chip decliners, with shares falling 2.89% to 47 euro.
The blue-chip SBITOP index ended at 1,113.34 points, up 0.71%. The SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, also gained 0.71% and closed at 1,407.48 points.
Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] generated the highest single trading turnover, as its shares switched hands in transactions worth a total of 375,561 euro ($477,655). Triglav's shares ended the session flat at 34.80 euro.
Total daily regulated market turnover dropped to 1.5 million euro on Wednesday from 2.1 million euro on Tuesday.
