BUCHAREST (Romania), July 23 (SeeNews) – UK-based cash, mobile and online payments operator PayPoint said on Wednesday it processed 12.3 million bill payments in Romania in the first quarter ended June 30, up 65% on the year.
"In Romania, profitable growth continues," the company said in an interim management statement.
PayPoint has increased its retail network since the year end by 173 sites to 8,527 terminals where its customers can make cash bill payments, money transfers, road tax payments and mobile phone top-ups.
"Our Romanian business continues to add new clients and services, including the recently launched service allowing Romanians to pay for their road tax at PayPoint sites," the statement added.
