November 14 (SeeNews) - Passenger traffic at Croatia's seaports rose 14.5% on the year to 18 million in the third quarter of this year, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
Ship arrivals numbered 139,883 in the period from July to September, up 10.1% on the year, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a quarterly report. Cargo traffic at the Croatian seaports rose 10.7% on the year, to 5.6 million tonnes in the third quarter of 2022.
In the first nine months of this year, passenger traffic at the Croatian Adriatic seaports went up 24.9% on the year to 29.6 million, ship arrivals rose 11.7% to 279,767 and cargo traffic increased 10% to 17.9 million tonnes.
Passenger traffic at Croatia's Adriatic seaports soared 45% to 27.3 million in 2021, but was still below the pre-pandemic level.
