BUCHAREST (Romania), January 21 (SeeNews) - Combined passenger traffic at the two international airports of Romania's capital Bucharest rose 6.4% year-on-year to 14.72 million passengers in 2019, the airports' operator said on Tuesday.
The combined number of take-offs and landings at the two airports rose 5.23% on the year, reaching 145,002 in 2019, CNAB said in a press release.
CNAB operates Bucharest's main airport, Henri Coanda, and a smaller one, Aurel Vlaicu.
A total of 57 airlines operated from the Henri Coanda airport last year, which transported passenger to more than 131 destinations. The airport handled 14.707 million passengers and registered 123,407 aircraft movements in 2019.
Baneasa Airport handled 25,518 passengers in 2018 and registered 21,595 aircraft movements.
CNAB was created in 2010 through the merger of companies that managed Henri Coanda and Baneasa airports.
