SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 12 (SeeNews) – Passenger numbers at Bosnia's Tuzla International Airport increased to 76,539 in the first two months of 2018 from 49,649 in the same period last year, according to data from the airport operator.
In February alone, passenger traffic jumped 55.7% on the year, but fell 11.3% on the month, reaching 35,976, figures posted on the website of Tuzla airport show.
Over the last seven years, from start-2011 to end-2017, Tuzla airport welcomed 1,327,652 passengers in total. In 2017, passenger traffic at Tuzla airport soared 72.0% on the year to a revised 535,596.
In March last year, Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air deployed a second aircraft at its base in Tuzla to operate five new routes. the company currently offers 15 services to seven countries from Tuzla airport.
