February 20 (SeeNews) - The UK-based airspace solutions developer Park Air Systems said it has delivered an air traffic management (ATM) communication system to Golubovci Airbase in Montenegro's capital Podgorica.
The system functionality is combined into a single compact package to support Montenegro Armed Forces and meet all NATO standards, Park Air Systems, a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman, said in a statement last week.
The new ATM communications system completed installation in late 2017 and is now in operation, the company added.
"Our ability to meet the tender criteria by providing the highest quality radio and after-sales support has meant that Park Air could offer the ideal partnership for this important programme," the managing director of Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, Danny Milligan, said in the statement.
The system features a range of receivers and transceivers, each covering the full VHF/UHF frequency range with AM and FM waveforms for fixed, naval and transportable applications. The radio provides a high level of performance, resilience and flexibility in a compact unit for defence applications, Park Air Systems noted.
Park Air Systems signed the contract after winning a tender called by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA).
