December 6 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipbuilding company Viktor Lenac [ZSE:VLEN] said it has appointed the chairman of Italy's Palumbo Group, Antonio Palumbo, as member of its supervisory board.
The extraordinary shareholders' meeting of Viktor Lenac has also approved the appointment of the sales director of the Italian company, Raffaele Palumbo, as supervisory board member, the Croatian company said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
Viktor Lenac also named Francesco Ciaramella and Giorgio Filippi as supervisory board members, the company said.
The mandates of John Karavanic, Elvis Pahljina, Hrvoje Markulincic and Luka Kolanovic as supervisory board members were terminated, Viktor Lenac added.
Palumbo Group said in September it increased its stake in the capital of Viktor Lenac to 59.69%. Palumbo Group and its partner P&L Shiprepair now hold among themselves a stake of about 82% of the capital of the Croatian company.
The Naples-headquartered Palumbo Group has been in the shipbuilding industry since 1967. It is owned by Antonio Palumbo and his wife, while their sons control P&L Shiprepair Holding Limited S.p.A.
