SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), February 15 (SeeNews) – Palestinian businessmen are set to open a bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina shortly, the country's Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) said on Thursday.
A delegation of Palestinian businessmen visited Bosnia three months ago to explore setting up a bank in the country, FIPA said in a statement following a meeting with the ambassador of Palestine to Bosnia, Razeq Namoor.
According to FIPA, the bank should opened shortly, following further talks.
During the meeting in Sarajevo, Namoor also said that that several prominent Palestinian investors who live in the United States want to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina to discuss the possibility of investing in the pharmaceutical industry in late February.
They are also interested in several other industries, including wood works and food and drinks production.
FIPA will arrange a meeting with the investors by the end of the month.
