June 22 (SeeNews) - Pakistani-owned company Avanstar Bulgaria is building a 28 million euro ($31.8 million) textile plant in Kneja, in northern Bulgaria, a government agency said on Monday.
The plant will employ over 5,000, deputy economy minister Lyuben Petrov told a business forum, as quoted in a statement of the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency.
No further details about the project were disclosed.
Speaking at the same event, the agency's head Marieta Zaharieva said that Pakistani companies are interested in Bulgaria's electronics, food and agriculture sectors.
