January 26 (SeeNews) - The rehabilitation of the 23-kilometre railway section Sofia to the town of Elin Pelin will begin in February, transport minister Ivaylo Moskovski said on Friday.
The 120 million levs ($76.4 million/61.3 million euro) contract for the rehabilitation of the railway stretch was granted to a consortium led by Hungary's Kelet-UT in November 2016, Moskovski said in a statement.
Under the contract, the consortium has one year for design works and three years for construction works on the project.
The project will be financed by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), Moskovski said.
