BUCHAREST (Romania), June 4 (SeeNews) – Warsaw-listed hotel group Orbis, the strategic partner of AccorHotels in Eastern Europe, said on Tuesday it has signed a management contract in Romania for operating two existing hotels in Galati that will undergo modernisation.
The two hotels, which will be re-branded to Mercure Galati Centrum and ibis Styles Galati Dunarea, will be opened in the second quarter of 2020, Orbis said in a press release.
The management agreement was signed for a period of 15 years.
Mercure Galati will have 66 rooms, while ibis Styles Galati will have 79 rooms.

Orbis comprises 130 hotels and is the sole licensor of all AccorHotels brands in 16 countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. It offers a total of 22,500 rooms.
The hotels operate under the brand names Sofitel, Pullman, M Gallery, Novotel, Mercure, ibis, ibis Styles and ibis budget.
