BUCHAREST (Romania), August 8 (SeeNews) – Warsaw-listed hotel group Orbis, the strategic partner of AccorHotels in Eastern Europe, said on Wednesday it will open an ibis brand hotel in Romania's capital Bucharest in the first quarter of 2019.
Located near Henri Coanda International Airport, the newly-built hotel will offer 85 rooms and suites, bar, restaurant and own car parking, the group said in a press release.
Ibis is the economy brand of AccorHotels.
"The Romanian capital is a key market for us and we are committed to its development. I’m convinced that ibis Styles Bucharest Airport hotel, developed in partnership with Liwa Properties will further strengthen the city’s international image by bringing a new hotel experience to the guests," said Gilles Clavie, president and CEO of Orbis Hotel Group.
Liwa Properties is a local subsidiary of international hospitality group ABS Holding.
Earlier this month, Orbis opened the first ibis Styles hotel in Bucharest together with its local partner and investor Constructii Erbasu.
In July, Orbis said that it will open the first hotel of the ibis brand in the western Romanian town of Timisoara in the fourth quarter of 2020.
