March 15 (SeeNews) - Greek airline orange2fly will launch flights from Kosovo's capital Pristina on behalf of local tour operators to several destinations in Switzerland and Germany this summer, news portal EX-YU Aviation reported on Wednesday.
According to EX-YU Aviation, among the destinations are Basel, Dusseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart and tickets are already on sale through travel agencies.
The carrier was established in Athens in September 2015 and has operations in ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) and charter business. Orange2fly operates one Airbus 320 aircraft with 180 seats. In December the company signed a letter of intent for the leasing of one more A320 aircraft.
According to the most recent census, Kosovo had a population of 1.77 million in 2015. More than 700,000 Kosovars lived abroad in 2014, with up to 35% of them residing in Germany, according to the latest available official information.
