February 21 (SeeNews) - The Romanian unit of France Telecom's Internet and mobile arm Orange said on Wednesday its revenue rose by 8% to 1.070 billion euro ($1.32 billion) in 2017 due to the increased use of mobile data and higher sales of fixed-mobile packages and mobile equipment.
In the fourth quarter alone, Orange Romania generated 280 million euro in revenues, up 7.7% on the year, Orange said in its 2017 consolidated financial report.

"2017 was a year in which the digitization process accelerated, highlighted by the growing consumption of mobile data and connected products for both residential and business. (...)
