July 30 (SeeNews) - The revenues of Orange Moldova, a unit of France Telecom's Internet and mobile arm Orange, fell 5.8% on the year to 32 million euro ($37.6 million) in the second quarter of 2020, Orange said on Thursday.
Orange Moldova had 1.953 million customers at the end of June, down from 2.118 million at the end of June 2019, Orange said in an interim financial statement.
The operator's 4G network covered 99% of Moldova's population at the end of June.
The revenues of Orange Moldova rose 3% on the year to 34 million euro in the first quarter of 2020.
In 2019, Orange Moldova recorded revenues of 141 million euro, compared to 140 million euro in the previous year.
At group level, Orange posted revenues of 10.37 billion euro in the second quarter of 2020, down 0.4% on the year.
Earlier this month, Orange said that it has appointed Mariusz Gaca as chief executive officer (CEO) of the Moldova subsidiary starting November 1.
