April 8 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) lost grounds on Wednesday, after four consecutive sessions of rises, with telecommunications services provider Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] pacing the blue-chip losers, bourse data showed.
Optima's shares lost 4.67% to close at 5.72 kuna.
At the same time, telecommunications equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] led the blue-chip gainers, advancing 2.48% to close at 1,240 kuna.
Six of the ten blue chips closed the Wednesday session lower, two rose and two ended the trading day flat.
Trading in the preferred stocks of diversified conglomerate Adris Grupa, [ZSE:ADRS2], part of the blue-chip index, contributed the highest single portion of the ZSE's turnover, resulting in the share price closing flat at 390 kuna in a 2.2 million kuna turnover.
The ZSE's total trading turnover shrank to 10.3 million kuna ($1.5 million/1.4 million euro) on Wednesday, from 36.8 million kuna on Tuesday.
The bourse's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index lost 0.81% to 1,584.02 points after gaining 1.00% on Tuesday.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, dropped 0.82% to 984.94 points on Wednesday after increasing 0.52% on Tuesday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index edged down 0.01% to 111.3400.
