February 27 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell on Thursday, as telecommunication services provider Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE] led the blue-chip losers, ZSE data showed.
Optima's shares fell 5% to 6.65 kuna.
Shipbuilding company Viktor Lenac [ZSE:VLEN] paced the blue-chip gainers, as its share price rose 9.93% to 8.30 kuna.
Viktor Lenac said on Wednesday it swung to a non-consolidated net profit of 20.2 million kuna in 2019, from a loss of 21 million kuna a year earlier.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] recorded the highest turnover among the blue chips on Thursday for a third straight trading day - of 3.7 million kuna. The company's shares closed 0.56% lower at 177 kuna.
Trading in HT shares generated a turnover of 9.3 million kuna on Tuesday and of 5 million kuna on Wednesday.
Confectionery producer Kras [ZSE:KRAS] boosted Thursday's total trading turnover by contributing 7.3 million kuna to it. The company's shares traded 9.55% lower at 710 kuna.
On Thursday, ZSE's total trading turnover fell to 28.9 million kuna ($4.3 million/3.9 million euro) from 35.4 million kuna on Wednesday.
The ZSE's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index fell 1% to 1,900.43 after gaining 1.25% on Wednesday.
The narrower of ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, shed 0.53% to 1,141.61 after rising 1.18% on Wednesday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index lost 0.03% to 115.2502.
