January 10 (SeeNews) - All but one of the listed units of Croatia's ailing concern Agrokor reported positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in the first 11 months of 2017, preliminary data filed with the Zagreb bourse showed on Wednesday.
News stand operator Tisak [ZSE:TISK] posted a negative EBITDA of 37 million kuna ($6.0 million/5.0 million euro), with a negative EBITDA margin of 2.0%, according to preliminary results submitted to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) by the company.
Tisak, however, recorded the largest revenue among Agrokor's listed units, of 1.866 billion kuna in the 11 months through November. The company's gross margin stood at 21.0%.
Soft drinks and water bottling company Jamnica [ZSE:JMNC] posted the largest EBITDA, of 297 million kuna, with a margin of 24.4%. Its revenue reached an estimated 1.217 billion kuna, while its gross margin stood at 53.8%.
Ice cream and frozen food company Ledo [ZSE:LEDO] followed with an estimated EBITDA of 197 million kuna and a margin of 19.7%. Its reported eleven-month revenue totalled 999 million kuna, while its gross margin reached 42.9%.
Food company Belje [ZSE:BLJE] reported EBITDA of 182 million kuna and a margin of 15.5%. Its revenue came in at 1.176 billion kuna, with a gross margin of 33.3%.
Edible oil, mayonnaise and margarine producer Zvijezda [ZSE:ZVZD] reported EBITDA of 54 milion kuna with a margin of 8.8%. Its revenue totalled 609 million kuna in January-November, while the gross margin was an estimated 27.6%.
Agricultural conglomerate Vupik [ZSE:VPIK] reported an estimated EBITDA of 51 million kuna with a 17.3% margin, and a gross margin of 34.0%. Its revenues totalled 297 million kuna, the lowest among the revenues of listed companies.
Meat processing company PIK-Vinkovci [ZSE:PIVK] posted EBITDA of 32 million kuna, with a margin of 9.1%, and a gross margin of 31.9%. Its revenue was 350 million kuna in the eleven months through November.
When compared to the results for the first 10 months of 2017, Ledo and Vupik saw a drop in EBITDA - Ledo by 10 million kuna and Vupik by 5 million kuna, in the period January-November.
