January 13 (SeeNews) - The hydrocarbon production of Romania's top oil and gas group OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP] dropped to 122,200 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day in the last quarter of 2021, from 140,200 boe per day in the same period of 2020, the company said on Thursday.
OMV Petrom's daily hydrocarbon production in the fourth quarter of 2021 was also lower compared to the previous quarter, when it produced 122,800 boe per day, the company said in a trading update on key performance indicators.
Total daily hydrocarbon sales volume amounted to 117,400 boe during the fourth quarter, down from 133,300 boe in the same period of 2020.
Total sales of refined products rose to 1.41 million tonnes in the fourth quarter of 2021, compared to 1.27 million tonnes in the like period of 2020.
The volumes of gas sales to third parties fell to 9.03 TWh during the period under review, compared to 10.62 TWh in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Net electricity output rose to 1.55 TWh in the fourth quarter, compared to 1.17 TWh the same period of 2020.
OMV Petrom said it will publish its fourth-quarter financial report on February 3.
Austria's OMV Aktiengesellschaft holds a 51.011% stake in OMV Petrom. The Romanian economy ministry owns 20.639% and 28.35% is free float on the Bucharest bourse and the London Stock Exchange.
Shares in blue-chip OMV Petrom traded 0.20% higher at 0.5030 lei ($0.58/0.30 euro) by 1253 CET on the BVB on Thursday.
