October 8 (SeeNews) - The hydrocarbon production of Romania's top oil and gas group OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP] dropped to 122,800 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day in the third quarter of 2021, from 141,300 boe per day in the same period of 2020, the company said on Friday.
OMV Petrom's daily hydrocarbon production in the third quarter of 2021 was also lower compared to the second quarter of 2020, when it produced 133,700 boe per day, the company said in a trading update providing key performance indicators.
Total daily hydrocarbon sales volume amounted to 116,700 boe during the third quarter, down from a daily 133,300 boe in the same period of 2020.
Total sales of refined products rose to 1.54 million tonnes in the second third of 2021, compared to 1.38 million tonnes in the like period of last year.
The volumes of gas sales to third parties fell to 8.17 TWh during the period under review, compared to 9.28 TWh in the third quarter of 2020.
Net electricity output rose to 1.37 TWh in the third quarter, compared to 1.30 TWh the same period of 2020.
OMV Petrom said it will publish its third-quarter financial report on October 29.
Austria's OMV Aktiengesellschaft holds a 51.011% stake in OMV Petrom. The Romanian economy ministry owns 20.639% and 28.35% is free float on the Bucharest bourse and the London Stock Exchange.
Shares in blue-chip OMV Petrom traded 0.54% higher at 0.4690 lei ($0.11/0.09 euro) by 1002 CET on the BVB on Friday.
