July 28 (SeeNews) - Romania’s biggest oil and gas group OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP] recorded 4.646 billion lei ($956.2 million/941.4 million euro) in consolidated net profit in the first half of 2022, up from 980 million lei in the like period of last year, it said on Thursday.
Sales revenues went up to 25.581 billion lei in the six months through June, from 10.126 billion lei in the first half of 2021, OMV Petrom said in a financial statement.
Capital expenditures for the first half of 2022 amounted to 1.389 billion lei, a 15% increase over the like period of 2021. As much as 1.022 billion lei were directed to exploration and production, 261 million lei to refining and marketing, and 92 million lei were allocated to gas and power.
Austria's OMV Aktiengesellschaft holds a 51.011% stake in OMV Petrom, the economy ministry holds 20.639%, while the remaining 28.35% is listed on the stock exchanges in Bucharest and London.
OMV Petrom's shares traded 2.71% higher at 0.53 lei as at 12:31 CET on Thursday.
