January 12 (SeeNews) - The hydrocarbon production of Romania's top oil and gas group OMV Petrom [BSE:SNP] fell to 118,000 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day in the fourth quarter of 2022 from 122,200 boe per day in the same period of 2021, the company said on Thursday.
OMV Petrom's daily hydrocarbon output in the fourth quarter of 2022 was higher compared to the third quarter of 2022, when it produced 117,200 boe per day. Total daily hydrocarbon sales volume amounted to 113,200 boe per day in the October-December period, down from 117,400 boe per day in the same period of 2021.
Total sales of refined products rose to 1.49 million tonnes in the fourth quarter of 2022, compared to 1.41 million tonnes in the like period of 2021. The volumes of gas sales to third parties increased to 9.56 TWh in the fourth quarter, from 9.03 TWh a year earlier. Net electricity output dropped to 1.48 TWh in the fourth quarter, compared to 1.55 TWh in the same period of 2021.
OMV Petrom said it will publish its fourth-quarter financial report on February 2.
Shares in blue-chip OMV Petrom traded 1.67% higher at 0.4555 lei ($0.10/0.09 euro) by 0945 CET on Thursday on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
