March 14 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia in January jumped 6.4% on the year to 401, the statistics office said on Monday.
The number of permits issued for buildings fell 5% on the year to 320 in January, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works doubled to 81, the office said in a statement.
The planned value of works for the building permits issued in January amounted to 1.2 billion kuna ($176.2 million/158.5 million kuna).
Out of the total issued permits, 288 were for new construction, while 113 related to reconstructions.
According to the permits issued in January, 481 dwellings were planned up 10.3% on the year.
