SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), May 22 (SeeNews) – The number of construction permits issued in Bosnia in the first quarter increased 16.2% on the year to 998, the statistical office said on Monday.
The number of building permits issued in the first quarter of 2017 increased by 1.9%, compared to the average number of building permits issued in 2016, the office of statistics said in a statement.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased 16.1% on the year in the January-March period to 817, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works rose 16.8% to 181.
Out of the total issued permits in the first quarter, 785 were for new construction, 95 related to extensions, 5 to reconstruction of dilapidated buildings, 12 to the conversion of non-residential space into dwellings, 23 to other conversion works and 78 to other reconstruction works.
