BELGRADE (Serbia), March 28 (SeeNews) - JGSP, the public transport company of Serbia's second largest city of Novi Sad, has bought 10 electric busses from Polish manufacturer Solaris Bus & Coach for 8 million euro ($8.7 million), JGSP director Ivan Radojicic said.
The purchase also includes accompanying infrastructure assets like charging stations, Radojicic said as seen in a video published by local broadcaster Kanal 9 Novi Sad on Friday.
The funds were secured via a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The investment is a part of the EBRD's Green Cities sustainable infrastructure program, through which Novi Sad has already procured 29 new buses.
The 10 new vehicles bought from Solaris are expected to enter use by the end of 2022, Radojicic said.
