October 2 (SeeNews) - German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE said it received an order to supply wind turbines for a 24-megawatt (MW) wind farm in Turkey developed by local company Sancak Enerji Hizmetleri.
The contract includes the supply of five turbines to the Baglar-3 wind farm located in the province of Konya, in south-central Turkey, as well as a ten-year premium service agreement, Nordex said in a statement on Thursday.
The installation of the first turbines is expected to start next summer. Nordex will use locally purchased rotor blades, anchor cages and towers for the turbines, it said.
Nordex supplied six turbines for Sancak Enerji's Urla wind farm in 2014 and 22 turbines for the wind farm of Turkish company Yahyali in 2015.
Nordex has installed more than 29 GW of wind energy capacity in over 40 markets. The group employs over 7,900 people and has factories in Germany, Spain, Brazil, the U.S., India, Argentina and Mexico.
