BELGRADE (Serbia), May 29 (SeeNews) – The CEO of Serbian state-controlled Telekom Srbija, Predrag Culibrk, said on Monday that a new effort to privatise the company is not on the agenda.
Telekom Srbija knows how to carry out a privatisation, as it has experience from 2011 and 2015 when it attracted serious interest by investors, but all offers were deemed unsatisfactory by the government, Culibrk said in a video file posted on the website of Serbian public broadcaster Radio Televizija Srbije (RTS).

"Our task as managers of the company is to try to keep the value of the company through development, investments and commitment to clients, as well as expanding the customer base," Culibrk said.
Telekom Srbija aims to keep its leadership position on the Serbian, Bosnian and Montenegrin markets, Culibrk noted.
The Austrian subsidiary of Telekom Srbija, m:tel Austria, already has 20,000 customers, he added.
At the end of 2015, the Serbian government decided to retain control of Telekom Srbija after all offers from potential investors for the privatisation of the incumbent telco were deemed unsatisfactory.
The Serbian company is the majority owner of the second-largest telecom operator in Bosnia, Telekom Srpske, and controls also Montenegrin mobile operator M:Tel.
