November 1 (SeeNews) - Insurer NN Romania, part of Dutch-based NN Group, said on Monday it will intermediate mortgage loans from ING Bank starting this month.
In partnership with ING Bank, NN introduces mortgage loans in its services portfolio, complementing the insurance package attached to loans already available to customers when buying a home, it said in a press release.
"By expanding our financial solutions portfolio, we aim to simplify the experience customers have when buying a home and, at the same time, we are glad that our partners can benefit from our team’s sales expertise. The partnership with ING is unique from this point of view and creates multiple opportunities for all of us," NN CFO Gerke Witteveen said.
"The ING - NN partnership is a long-term one, targeting a variety of products and services we offer together, such as health insurance or mutual funds available 100% online from Home’Bank. Given that they work successfully, we saw an opportunity to expand the partnership in the lending area as well," ING Bank Lending Tribe Lead Roxana Cristea said.
In Romania, NN is active on the life insurance and private pensions markets, with a local presence of over 24 years. Over the years, the company has diversified its portfolio, adding health and home insurance to its commercial offering. NN has almost 2,000 employees and financial consultants and supports over 2.2 million insurance and private pension customers in Romania.
