May 12 (SeeNews) - Slovenian banking group NLB, the parent company of Nova Ljubljanska Banka and Serbia's NLB Komercijalna Banka, and Delta Congress Centre, part of Serbian diversified conglomerate Delta Holding, signed an agreement for a 55 million euro ($60 million) loan to finance the reconstruction of the Sava congress centre in Belgrade, NLB Komercijalna Banka said on Friday.
The total investment for the complete reconstruction of the Sava Centre will exceed 100 million euro, the bank said in a press release.
“We want to thank our partners from the Delta Congress Center for the opportunity to support the reconstruction of the legendary building, which will bring back entertainment and culture, but also restart the congress industry in the country and the region," president of the executive board of NLB Komercijalna Banka, Vlastimir Vukovic, was quoted as saying.
The Sava Centre has a total area of 100,000 sq m, including a 4,000-seat theatre hall, 15 conference halls, an exhibition area, restaurants, bars, offices, and shops.
